Municipal employment services and international services

The city of Riihimäki and the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala and Loppi organize employment, business and integration services together as the South Häme employment area. However, these municipalities also offer their own employment promotion services, i.e. employment services. Each municipality has different employment services, examples of which include:

• job coaching services,
• workshop activities for youth and adults,
• employment allowance or employment supplement,
• summer jobs for young people and
• summer work allowances and summer work vouchers.

Municipalities also advise and guide companies and support them in recruiting and developing personnel skills. Municipalities also offer companies opportunities to network with other companies and organizations in the area.

What international services do municipalities offer?

Each municipality in the employment area is responsible for providing international services that are not part of the tasks of the employment authority. Such services include, for example:

• various settlement services,
• international recruitment support for companies and
• internationalization support for companies.

There are differences in these services between the municipalities in the employment area. The municipality of Loppe purchases international services from the city of Riihimäki, so the settlement and integration services in the city of Riihimäki and the municipality of Loppe are the same. The agreement between the city of Riihimäki and the municipality of Loppe covers services for both private and corporate customers.
